I had so much fun making the video of the bike ride I decided to play around some more with iMovie. In the wee hours of yesterday morning, I came up with an idea to put together a video of my race history. After sorting through, literally, THOUSANDS of photos, importing them to iPhoto, hours of arraigning, editing and deleting, it became clear that my direction needed to change.
The video was no longer about my race history, it is really a story of how I became the person I am today, from the perspective of that past six years that is (the full history requires an entirely different blog, a shrink and maybe a case of scotch).
Some of the photos aren’t great quality (please don’t turn me into Brightroom for screen-grabbing rather than purchasing) so you’ll have to give me some leeway there.
I learned a ton about editing yesterday, mostly that editing video vs. editing stills into a movie are two very different activities.
Oh, I also learned that The Who’s Join Together, may be the greatest “comp reel” song EVER.
I’m going to post this to my “About Me” page as I think it’s a great introduction, and a more creative element than the static copy and photo I have there now.
With a special thanks to my beautiful wife for her notes during the final edit, I present you my recent history . . .
