When I turned 46, I made the claim that I was going to qualify for Boston by the time I turn 50.
I’ve since amended that to say that I will qualify for Boston when I turn 50.
To that end, and what should come as no surprise to you is that I’m taking you on my journey.
I’ve made the declaration, and I intend you to hold me accountable.
I give you the first episode of what I’m calling the Black Toenail Chronicles.
Why Black Toenail?
Because, for me, they mean hard work, determination and many, many miles on the road.
They are also a badge of honor. And to me, the more I have, the more I feel like a badass.
And let’s be honest, qualifying for Boston is going to take more than just hard work, determination and many, many miles on the road.
