When GoPro announced the new Hero 7, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!
Ever since I got my first GoPro I’ve been filming races, making recap videos and trying to give folks a feel for what it’s like to be part of the event if they weren’t able to attend. Or to relive the experience if they were.
The problem I’ve always had though is the bouncing.
Oy, the bouncing.
The up and down motion that accompanies the filming of a race is inevitable because holding a camera steady while running is next to impossible.
Enter the gimbal. Of which there are many. With many different price points, benefits, features and most importantly weights and grips.
None of which were perfect.
And then GoPro announced the Hero 7.
No gimbal needed, improved microphones, better dynamic range (light and dark) and a host of other features that I will go into when I do my in depth review. Keep an eye on my YouTube channel for that.
But the only way you can get a feel for the camera’s most important feature is to see it in action.
