How to tie your shoes is one of the most hotly contested debate among runners.
I’m not going to argue my (correct) thinking on this, rather, I want to know your opinion on another hotly debated topic.
But First, Some Background
I live in NYC, in a small-ish one bedroom apartment with my wife and 3.5 year old son. As such, we have a no shoe policy in our home. I mean, come on, we walk all over gross NYC streets, sidewalks, subways and floors all day, why would we want to track that grossness all over our home where we walk around barefoot?
Because of this no shoe policy, the last thing I do before I walk out the door, be it for a run, work, or errands is put on my shoes and socks.
Socks and Shoes
Since I learned how to tie my shoes, I’ve always used the sock-shoe, shock-shoe formula.
And herein lies the controversy.
I think this dilemma is best summed up by one of my favorite clips from the old SitCom All In The Family
Are you the right way (sock-shoe, sock-shoe) or the wrong way?
*wink*
I’m a sock,sock,shoe,shoe kind of gal!
